EN: Nassimo Rousseau is a Parisian based designer, craftsman and media creator. Growing up in south-east Asia, he then graduated from l’ENSCI-les Ateliers in Paris where he developed a passion for manufacturing processes and photography. Sensitive to the aesthetics of everyday life, he is interested in the capacity of ordinary objects to reference the social, cultural, aesthetic, and productive realities specific to their environments. Through research-creation projects that combine extensive investigation, repurposed semi-industrial manufacturing techniques, and documentary photography, he seeks to create new typologies of everyday objects in response to a deteriorating globalized landscape.

FR : Designer, artiste et fabriquant d’objets usuels basé à Paris et en Corrèze, après avoir grandi en Asie du Sud-Est, il se forme au design à l’Ensci – Les Ateliers où il développe une appétence pour les procédés de fabrication et la photographie. Sensible aux esthétiques du quotidien, il s’intéresse à la capacité des objets ordinaires à référencer les réalités sociales, culturelles, esthétiques et productives, propres à leurs environnements. À travers des projets de recherche-création qui mêlent phases d’enquêtes importantes, techniques de fabrication semi-industrielles détournées et pratique de l’image documentaire, il cherche à faire exister de nouvelles typologies d’objets en réponse à un paysage mondialisé en dégradation.
